5th grade legacy mural 2012

Well, it's been a while since my last post. Things have been going on. BIG things.

This week I am working on the end of the year mural painting with our 5th graders. This is a chance for all our leaving students to leave a positive permanent mark on our school campus. The students really get up for it, and many of them have been asking when it would be their turn since watching last year's 5th graders do theirs.

This may be my favorite week of the school year:)

The design was inspired by a drawing one of our 5th graders did in class. I drew it out on the wall all day Monday and the kids have been painting it for the past 3 days in groups of 6 at a time. My goal is to be done by the end of the day tomorrow. I know we will be close...

Check out the progress.

  1. This sounds like one of those weeks that reminds you why you do this—creative, meaningful, and full of pride. Giving 5th graders a chance to leave a permanent, positive mark is such a powerful way to close their chapter. I love that the mural came from a student’s own drawing; that kind of ownership sticks with them forever. The energy, anticipation, and teamwork you described really show how special this project is. Moments like these matter far more than deadlines—whether it’s a mural or even something stressful like deciding to Pay for dissertation, impact always outlasts pressure.

Honestly, I was very stressed because the deadline was very close, but their team handled everything so professionally. The expert understood my requirements quickly and delivered the work on time. The quality was really good, and they also explained the solution so I could understand the topic better.

  3. Wow!!! So cool to see this tradition continuing! It's such a fantastic way for the 5th graders to leave their mark before moving on. I can just imagine them, year after year, watching the older kids, like little cells in Agario waiting for their turn to grow. It's a truly memorable experience!
