Last week the 4th graders did a project inspired by the work of Marz Jr. After we did the project I contacted him about it and he replied with the wonderful letter below. I thought it was too good not to share:)
So cool! Its so exciting for the kids to hear back from artists they studied! I did a Wolf Kahn inspired lesson last year, turned out the husband of one of my colleagues worked with him on several exhibits of his work! We wrote to him and sent pics of student work and he sent us a lovely handwritten letter! The kids were so excited when I read it to them!
So cool... gotta love when you can interact with the artists!

ReplyDeletenot all of them do, but so many of the artists i have contacted have gotten in touch with the kids.
