over 200 kids and 4 days paint.

Whew!

All we got left is touch ups, folks. All 7 5th grade classes participated in our 5th annual 5th grade legacy public art project. The kids had a blast and so did I:) So many kids wanted to spend more time working on the wall, but I've got to keep them moving so that everyone gets a chance to participate.

We have gotten a very supportive and appreciative response from everyone that has seen this multicultural mural. I think it's my favorite one that we have done.

Hard to believe that I penciled it in on Monday and we were done painting on Friday. Needless to say, I'm tired. My wild Friday night had me falling asleep on the couch by 8:30.

This mural has got my creative juices flowing. I'm going to put together a proposal for mural project in North county in the next week...

Let's see, the patterns come from the following places or groups- the Philippines, Mexico, Morocco, Somalia, India, Asia, the Pacific Islands, the Kumeyaay, Europe, France, Gee's Bend Alabama, the American colonies, and South America.

2012 with 2014:)

  3. Beautiful. And I love knowing where the designs come from. It makes it so much more meaningful than just a pretty design.
